Call for community groups to join council’s directory

1 August, 2017

Dover District Council has launched a new community directory and is inviting clubs, sports clubs and community groups in the district to get involved – to reach out to new members, connect to the community, and make sure they’re on the map!

The online directory is a simple to use, searchable map, which shows the location and contact details of sports and community organisations. The interactive map can be searched by postcode, or you can select a location to see what’s near you.

Local groups can add their details by going to the Community Directory page and clicking on ‘Add your details’.

Cllr Keith Morris, DDC Cabinet Member for Skills, Training, Tourism, Voluntary Services and Community Safety, said: “Community groups are a vital part of the life of the district, and this is a great opportunity to help those groups reach out to new members, and to bring together information about the range of groups in the area.”

If you represent a club, sports club or community group within the Dover District and would like to add your details to the Community Directory, please fill out the online form on the community directory page.
