Mondays and Wednesdays – Aylesham Community Centre, Ackholt Road – Aylesham & District Amateur Boxing Club, juniors 5.45pm to 7pm and seniors 6.45pm to 8pm. Entrance at front of building. New members welcome, simply turn up to register.
Mondays – St Finbarr’s Church 7.30pm Snowdown Colliery Welfare Male Voice Choir rehearses its repertoire of songs. New members are very much needed whatever their vocal range. Simply turn up or call Gerry on 01227 274690 to be assured of a friendly welcome.
Tuesdays – Aylesham Baptist Church, Dorman Avenue South. Youth club meetings led by Pie Factory Music in three sessions according to age group.
5pm to 6.30pm – Junior youth session for children in school years four to seven. Activities include art and craft, music, games and table tennis.
6.30pm to 7pm – Training and development session for young people in school years eight to 13. The accent is on train to be a volunteer, achieve awards, update CVs and improve employability.
7pm to 9pm – Senior session for young people in years eight to 13. Arts and crafts, music, games, table tennis, guidance and support. More information via www.piefactorymusic.com or call 01843 596777.
Tuesdays 7.15pm – Aylesham Community Centre, Ackholt Road. Aylesham Ladies Choir meets In the old school hall. All welcome, no skills necessary. Just turn up or for more information, please phone Jan Gambrell on 01304 841008.
Tuesdays – St Finbarrs Church, Market Place, 2.30pm-4.30pm afternoon tea. Full tea for £1, includes free raffle.
Tuesdays and Thursdays – the pop up tea room is open at St Peter’s Church, Dorman Avenue North, between 10am and 1.30pm, when a range of homemade cakes is available. More volunteers to help run both tea room and shop are very welcome!
Tuesdays and Thursdays 7pm – Aylesham Welfare & Leisure Centre. Training sessions with Snowdown Colliery Rugby Club for novices and experienced players. New members very welcome to join for a packed season of fixtures.
Tuesdays and Thursdays 1pm for 1.30pm start – Snowdown Court, off Market Place, Bingo sessions, adults only.
Tuesdays and Thursdays 7pm-9pm – Hotblack Hut, Ackholt Road, Parade nights of Aylesham detachment of the Kent Army Cadet Force.
Wednesdays 10.30am – Aylesham Welfare & Leisure Centre. Walking football for the over 50s. Simply turn up with a pair of trainers to join in a gently paced version of the beautiful game. First session free and then £2 per time thereafter to cover the cost of equipment provided.
Wednesdays 10am-2pm – Aylesham Heritage Group meets every week at its centre on the ground floor of the White House on the corner of Milner Crescent and Dorman Avenue South. The centre has a comprehensive archive of the area’s former coal mines and village history.
Wednesdays 7.30pm-9.30pm – St Finbarrs Church, ballroom and Latin dancing. Entrance for social dancing is £1 including a cup of tea.
First Wednesday of the month 10.30am – Aylesham Library, Ackholt Road, (on Aylesham Project site) hosts a reading group. All welcome, simply turn up. Free parking right outside the library.
Thursdays 10.45am – Aylesham Library, Ackholt Road (on Aylesham Project site) hosts its Knit & Natter session. All welcome, simply turn up. Free parking available right outside the library.
Thursdays 10am-2pm – A Citizens Advice Bureau community advisor is on hand at Aylesham library, Ackholt Road, to help with issues around debt, benefits, pensions, housing and much more. Adviceline is 0344 848 7978 or visit the website www.doverdealadvice.co.uk
Fridays 10am – Snowdown Court, off Market Place, holds a coffee morning. All welcome. Bacon rolls and toasted teacakes, pies and cakes available too. Good company in a friendly atmosphere assured.
Fridays 10am-12pm – Bechange, Ackholt Road, Job Club. Drop in for a cuppa, look at CV templates and use the charity’s PCs for online job searching.
Last Friday of each month 10am-12pm – Aylesham Parish Council holds drop in surgeries at its White House offices to enable residents to discuss issues with members.
Once a month on a Friday from 2pm – Aylesham Library, Ackholt Road (on Aylesham Project site) creative writing session. Please check with library for dates via 03000 413131.
Third Saturday of every month 10am to 12pm – Aylesham Baptist Church, Dorman Avenue North, coffee morning with home made cakes and a bits & bobs stall. All welcome. Once a month on a Saturday from 11am – Aylesham Library, Ackholt Road (on Aylesham Project site) holds Family craft and story club. Suitable for children aged between four and 12 years old. Please check with library for dates via 03000 413131.
DANCE classes for different age groups are held in and around Aylesham six days a week by KCs Dancers. You can view its website for times, venues and prices here.

- Fridays 9.45am – Aylesham Library, Ackholt Road (on Aylesham Project site) holds Big Talk Small Play for parents, carers and pre-school children. Relaunch planned for January – volunteers need to help, please! Contact Lynne Steward at the library on 03000 413131 if you can help.
