Thousands in grants awarded by village Trust

Aylesham’s Community Workshop Trust has awarded nearly £7,000 to local projects and causes during the current financial year.

With the income from renting office and industrial space it owns at the Aylesham Project in Ackholt Road, the Trust, which is a registered charity, has been able to support the following:

Kent Mining Heritage Foundation with £1,000 towards a show case

Aylesham Bowls Club with £1,000 towards new shirts

Snowdown & Aylesham Youth FC with £1,000 towards a Portakabin

Aylesham Dance Group with £1,000 towards advanced dancing in Blackpool

Aylesham Community Tearoom with £1,000 towards garden furniture

The Green Howards with £250 towards branch trip to Passchendaele

Elvington & Eythorne Heritage Group with £675 towards fire resistant storage cabinets

Aylesham 90 Celebrations with £1,000 towards the anniversary celebration weekend.
