Your chance to meet team behind drainage project

22 May, 2019

Southern Water is to hold a public event in Aylesham next week enabling residents to find out more about its project which will connect Snowdown to the village’s sewerage network.

The company has already set up a compound on land at the junction of Aylesham Road and Spinney Lane ahead of building of a new pumping station and an underground pipeline.

The event will be held in the main hall of the Aylesham Project in Ackholt Road on Thursday 30 May between 4pm and 7pm.

Likely to be the most obvious effect the work will have on residents is the closure of Aylesham Road from the junction with Spinney Lane, to The Crescent, Snowdown, for five months between Monday 10 June and Friday 29 November. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

Access will be maintained to properties along Aylesham Road and pedestrian routes will be unaffected.

Southern Water says the project will give Snowdown a more reliable waste water service. The company apologises for the inconvenience and thanks everyone for their understanding and patience while it carries out the work.

If you are unable to attend the event, you can still contact Southern Water by phoning free on 0330 303 0368, quoting project reference number 639640.
